In the summer of 2023 I travelled through the south and west of Ukraine, gathering stories of people who had been internally displaced by the conflict for Oxfam. Many were struggling to find secure accommodation, access financial support, educate their children, and get basic medical care. The Roma community has faced even greater problems, dealing with added discrimination and marginalisation during the crisis.
