Some have been running a business for years, others are just starting out, but they’re starting all from scratch with video and are usually feeling lost, confused, or just plain paralysed by the options. I know it can be overwhelming.

Video is such a powerful way of doing this, because so much of your brand style and vibe can come across in your video. Viewers absorb a sense of who your brand is without you having to ram it home with text.
This is a great chance to tell you brand story: how you got started, why you do what you do, and why people are going to fall in love with you. This is where your brand gets to shine, and people’s passion for their products or service always come through – it’s just wonderful to share this on film.

These are super-powerful videos, which can build enormous TRUST in your brand. Testimonials of any kind are vital for your business, but even though written reviews are great, there’s always a niggle in the back of your mind wondering whether someone really said that? With video you can see the words coming out of an actual person’s mouth, and our brains find it much harder to discredit that (even when words are said by actors).
Used well, testimonial videos can forge a really deep rooted sense of connection and confidence in a brand. And remember, don’t just look to clients for testimonials – talk to your employees and contractors about why the love working for you.
TIP: Get your interviewee to talk about their experiences with you in their own words. It’ll be obvious if they’re reading from a script, and you’ll immediately loose trust.
Focusing on a niche is a really great way of showcasing your EXPERTISE. This video allows you to establish authority in your field and demonstrate to viewers that you are a brand which is brilliant at something specific.
Get into the nitty gritty. Why do you make this product better than anyone else? What service do you deliver in a way no one else does? The detail matters here, so show it!
TIP: This video should showcase what you want to be known for. Choose a signature product or service and give people an idea of what it’s like to experience it.
Don’t let your kit hold you back! It’s substance over style that matters.
